Buffalo Sabres Youth Hockey Clinic: HSBC Arena
The last two clinics will take place on Tuesday: morning (9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon) and an afternoon session (1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.). The Buffalo Sabres are dedicated to the growth and development of youth hockey leagues in Western New York. The goal of these clinics is to inform and instruct each participant on how they can improve every aspects of their own individual game.

Artvoice Mardi Gras 2010 Celebration: 5 p.m. Allentown, the Chippewa District and the Elmwood Strip. Great event for photos! This event is a must!
Drape yourself in beads, join the Fat Tuesday parade and celebrate all night long at more than 45 bars and clubs! The event is a fundraiser for Hospice Buffalo.

Fat Tuesday at the Lafayette Tap Room: 6 p.m. Another great Mardi Gras event to cover! Live music with LeeRon Zydeco, the Hot Tamales and conclude what is sure to be a fun evening with the Eyecandy Burlesque Show.
103.3 THE EDGE Presents The Used with Atreyu: 6:30 p.m. Rapids Theatre (formerly the Dome) in Niagara Falls, NY.
The Used is an American post-hardcore band from Orem, Utah that will definitely put on a great show! Their sound has been classified under many sub-genres of rock and the band has achieved both Gold and Platinum statuses in more than six countries worldwide.

Wednesday

COD: Modern Warfare II Competition: 6:30 p.m. - 10 p.m. Buffalo Wild Wings in Amherst Call of Duty is the hot new video game on the market, dominating the free-time of many teenage to college age students. Check out the craze!

WAM Buffalo: 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. At the Stillwater (481 Delaware Avenue)
WAM, a monthly Writers/Artists/Musicians' creative mixer showcases Buffalo talent & encourages conversation and collaboration. With a focus on live & local, WAM features new performers and artists at each event! Expect a nice mix of poetry, music, and open mic time.

Thursday

Music at the Marcy: 5:30 - 8:30 pm. Delaware Park
Delaware Park is the place to be every Thursday night through March 18 for the Music at the Marcy series, live bands, food and beverages and most of all fun. Proceeds go to Buffalo’s Olmsted Parks.

Polar Bites: 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. Buffalo Niagara Convention Center Benefit for the Buffalo Zoo. Enjoy culinary delights, along with wines, brews and specialty services from some of the area's finest establishments. Guests will enjoy a basket auction, a silent auction and a visit with some animal ambassadors. We still need a writer for this event.

Chrisette Michele: Doors open at 7pm. Tralf Music Hall
An R&B singer/songwriter extraordinaire will showcase her talents at the Tralf; she was nominated for BET’s Best New Artist award and two Grammy’s. If Entertainment Weekly’s description of Michele as a ‘soulful songbird’ is accurate, then she is definitely worth checking out!

Twiztid at the Town Ballroom: Doors open at 7pm. Join the crowd to see Twiztid, the hardcore hip-hop duo perform. They’re sure to put on an entertaining show! Check out some of their music.

Haiti Earthquake Relief Fundraiser: 6-10 p.m. Tralf Music Hall Guests will enjoy music from the Men in White Choir, D Mott & Sonny Camp, Brother Perry, The Chapel at CrossPoint, Delivered, Marshall Badger, Souls of Solomon, Allstar Band, Sons of Thunder, Evangelistic Temple Community Choir, Paragon and many more. An American Red Cross representative will be on site to accept donations. This would be a great event for both writers and photographers!

Guinness Toast: 6 p.m. - Midnight. Buffalo Irish Center
Annual Guinness Toast featuring Irish Bands, dancers, food, raffles etc. Visit the Buffalo Irish Center to absorb some Irish culture and have a great time!

The Mousetrap: 7:30 p.m. Lancaster Opera House
Agatha Christie’s compelling mystery play will be performed throughout the weekend. Can you pick out who committed the murder before anyone else?

Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, with special guest Babik: 7:30 p.m. Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall
The heavily-acclaimed Buffalo-based gypsy jazz band, Babik, will debut their new full-length orchestral show in a concert with the world-renowned Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. Listen as Babik’s distinct style blends with the orchestral accompaniment.

Randy Smith Tribute: 8 pm. Buffalo State College
Watch the Bengals raise a banner honoring the late Randy Smith, one of the greatest athletes in Buffalo basketball history (both collegiate and professional), during halftime of the BSC vs. Cortland men’s basketball game.

Come and enjoy over 350 tables of toy trains, railroading collectibles, dolls, toys, miniatures, operating layouts, and books. This show benefits WNY Railway Society and will have something for the whole family to enjoy.

Shea's version of Bourbon Street comes alive! Sponsored by Star 102.5, this event will feature the crucial elements of Mardi Gras.
