Our main focus this week is on the two St. Patrick’s Day Parades in the area as we get ready for St. Patrick’s Day next Wednesday.
Saturday- 17th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade 12 p.m.
Over 75 marching units will retrace the original 1913 parade route through the historic streets of the Valley and Old First Ward neighborhoods. Parade contingents will include marching bands, clowns, community floats, classic cars, Irish dancers, family clans, fire and police departments, and much more!!
Immediately following the parade is the traditional grand Irish “Hooley” featuring live music by “Poor Ould Goat” and entertainment as well as plenty of food and drink. The “Hooley” runs from 1pm-6pm at the Valley Community Center.

Sunday- St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2 p.m.
Bring the family Downtown and celebrate the luck of the Irish at the annual parade! The parade will begin in Niagara Square and travel north on Delaware Avenue to North Street. The 2010 Parade Grand Marshal is Thomas Patrick Young. The annual St. Patrick's Day Parade, is Buffalo's largest celebration of the Irish heritage. The Parade draws people of all nationalities and the enthusiastic crowds line Delaware Avenue as the Irish dancers, bands, civic organizations and others march proudly by in celebration and in honor of St. Patrick!

WBNY (Buff State’s Radio Station) Presents the “Rage on Stage” Semifinals Broadway Joe’s 3051 Main St. 8 p.m.
One of the “Critics’ Picks” from the GUSTO. Talented bands will showcase their talent in the semifinals of the station’s contest.
Brahms Piano Quartet Kleinhans Music Hall 8 pm
Dubbed the “fabulous foursome” by the GUSTO. Formed just last spring, the Brahms Piano Quartet includes three members of the famed St. Petersburg String Quartet: Alla Aranovskaya, Boris Vayner and Leonid Shukayev are the first violinist, violist and cellist, respectively, of the renowned St. Petersburg Quartet. The pianist is Irina Morozova, who made her New York debut at Carnegie Recital Hall in 1996.

Cage the Elephants hit single "Ain't No Rest for the Wicked" reached number 32 on the UK Singles Chart. The American rock band’s popularity is on the rise and they will definitely put on a great show.

The Buffalo Bisons Annual Family Day Open House Coca-Cola Field. 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. This event is FREE to the general public. At the event, the team will also put Individual Game Tickets On Sale for the 2010 season. It will be the first chance for fans to purchase individual game tickets for such events as Opening Day on April 14, the July 3 Independence Eve Celebration with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and August 7th's Mystery Ball fundraiser.

Jills Director, Stephanie Mateczun, Nichole Becker our Coordinator and well-known Choreographer, Kelli Wagner, insure that the Jills are in top-notch shape for game day performances as well as appearances.
Ending time will be determined by number of attendee’s. The actual audition dance routine will be taught at this workshop as well as learning all the requirements for both the Dance squad AND the Ambassador squad.
