Special events: Dyngus Day (Monday, April 13)

Instead of copying each individual event scheduled in Buffalo and Western New York for Dyngus Day – and there are many – please check the schedule online. There are a ton of great events. This is a really fun day with a lot of parties, so please consider going out and having some fun!

Here are some specific events that would be great to get covered:

• Polish Falcons Club (445 Columbia Parkway, Depew) – 2 PM through the afternoon.
• Dyngus Day Parade (starts at the Broadway Market) – 5 PM.
• Buffalo Central Terminal (Memorial Drive, Buffalo) – 5 PM through the night.
• Adam Mickiewicz Library (612 Fillmore Ave., Buffalo) – 5 PM through the night.
• PVT Leonard Post (2450 Walden Ave., Cheektowaga) – 5 PM through the night.

Some may be concerned about traveling into the Broadway-Fillmore neighborhood in the evening. Let me tell you from experience – there are so many thousands of people on the street during the Dyngus Day celebrations that your safety is assured. From the Central Terminal out to Fillmore Avenue, there will be thousands of revelers having a wonderful time. In fact, there is a good chance that I will be reveling at the Terminal…if you’re going to be there as a photographer or a civilian, let me know!

Titus Andronicus preview article – This New Jersey indie band is performing live at Mohawk Place on April 14. Any writers interested in doing a preview? If so, let me know, and we can get you in the door, too (Titus Andronicus is opening for Lucero). Let me know!
