Squeaky Wheel: Deadline extended for media artists (like you)

Buffalo.com photo by Lorraine Simon.

Hey folks - if you are interested in being part of a new Squeaky Wheel project, you have some additional time to get involved...read below.

(I should add that Squeaky Wheel is a very cool grassroots media organization in Buffalo that has posted videos to Spotted, so I am not completely unbiased here...but this might be an interesting step for any media artists in the programs. And aren't we all, in a way, media artists?)

BEYOND/IN WESTERN NEW YORK 2010 : Alternating Currents

NEW EXTENDED DEADLINE: March 31st, 2009 (by midnight!)

Due to the fact that this is the first year we are enabling online submissions and uploading of materials for Beyond/In Western New York, the curatorial team has agreed that we will extend the deadline by two weeks, to ensure that everyone intending to apply can apply.

The call for submissions is open to emerging and established artists and art collectives in Western and Central New York, Southern Ontario, Northeastern Ohio, and Northwestern Pennsylvania. Artists working in all media – film, installation, multimedia, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, performance, and video – are encouraged to submit work.

For submission application and information, please visit www.beyondinwny.org.

This came through my email, more info at Craig's List, though someone might be interested...I know a couple of the former Spotted interns were involved with these organizations, and they were pretty into it.
