Tuesdays in the Park: Jimmie Vaughan & The Tilt-A-Whirl Band – 6:30 p.m. - Artpark
As a founding member of the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Jimmie Vaughan was one of the leading Austin, TX guitarists of the late '70s and '80s, responsible for opening the national market up for gritty roadhouse blues and R&B. Influenced by guitarists like Freddie King, B.B. King, and Albert King, Vaughan developed a tough, lean sound that became one of the most recognizable sounds of '70s and '80s blues and blues-rock.

Thursday:

Martin Sexton - Thursday at the Square – 5:00 p.m.– 9:00 p.m.
Martin Sexton sold 20,000 copies of his self-produced demo, In The Journey, out of his own guitar case. It’s no wonder Sexton won a Boston Music Award for Best New Artist and was named Artist of the Year by the National Academy of Songwriters in 1994. But selling 20,000 albums all on his own isn’t Sexton’s only claim to fame. The Syracuse native has made a name for himself by blending soul, gospel, country, rock, blues and R&B to produces his own brand of American music. We hope he’ll be doing some of his famous beatboxing and scat singing in Lafayette Square too on June 24th at Thursday at the Square. Special guests for the evening will be Ryan Montbleau Band and Civil Twilight.

Friday:

Sabres Draft Party – 6:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. – HSBC Arena
Autograph sessions with Buffalo Sabres players, dressing room tours and family-friendly food and drink specials highlight the 2010 NHL Entry Draft Party at HSBC Arena.
The event is free and open to fans of all ages. Parking is also free in the arena ramp.
Sabres fans are invited to come down to HSBC Arena to watch live televised coverage of the 2010 Entry Draft from the Staples Center in Los Angeles beginning at 7 p.m. In addition, there will be a Roundtable discussion hosted by Kevin Sylvester that will feature special guests throughout the evening.
Along with dressing room tours, kids will also have the opportunity to experience several interactive games and play street hockey on the floor of HSBC Arena. Kids are asked to bring their own sticks, and all children under 12 must also bring and wear a helmet. There will also be several inflatable activities, interactive games and hockey-themed arts and crafts.

Friday & Saturday:

moe. at Buffalo Place Rocks the Harbor - 5:00 p.m. - Erie Canal Harbor - Central Wharf
moe. formed in 1991 at the University at Buffalo. The band moved to Albany, then New York City and now lives throughout the Northeast. Their name is derived from the old Louis Jordan tune “Five Guys Named Moe.” moe. is a band that has earned their reputation as a jam band. Having released more than 18 CD's and owning their own record label, the band has proven itself to critics and fans alike.

Saturday & Sunday:

Interpol – Doors open at 7:00 p.m. - Town Ballroom
Interpol is one of the bands associated with the New York indie music scene, having first performed at Luna Lounge and being one of several groups that emerged out of the post-punk revival of the 2000s. The band's sound is generally a mix of bass throb and rhythmic, harmonized guitar, with a snare heavy mix, drawing comparisons to post-punk bands such as Joy Division, The Strokes and The Chameleons.

DeYoung is a solo pop musician but is better known as one of the lead vocalists of the band Styx.
Saturday

Ride for Roswell - Begins at University at Buffalo North Campus
Route times begin every hour from 6:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and the picnic event concludes at 3:00 p.m.

Lewiston Garden Fest – 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. – Center St., Lewiston, NY
Plan on stopping in the historical, charming Village of Lewiston for the annual free GardenFest on Saturday, June 26th and Sunday, June 27th, 10-5, on Center Street. All things needed for gardening, landscaping and yard enjoyment will be available from 50 selected vendors. Get inspiration from the 6 residential open gardens, as well as have your questions answered from master gardeners. Local shops and restaurants will be involved in complimenting the event, as residents and visitors enjoy the famous ambiance of strolling brick-lined Lewiston.

Ubiquitous Synergy Seeker – 7:00 p.m.- Town Ballroom
USS is a musical duo that began working out of Toronto. The band is composed of vocalist, guitarist and erhu player Ash Buchholz (aka Ashley Boo-Schultz) and turntablist and hypeman Jason Parsons (aka Human Kebab).The USS sound is a mixture of drum and bass beats, grunge-like guitar riffs and 2-step rhythms. "We like to call what we do the campfire after-party," Buchholz said. "It's like you're at Nirvana Unplugged but there's a drum and bass party and glow sticks all around you."
This is an Empire will open the show.

Stanley Clarke Band featuring Hiromi - 8:00 p.m.- Bear's Den Showroom – Seneca Niagara Casino
Jazz and blues bassist Stanley Clarke comes to the Bear’s Den with his band and Japanese pianist Hiromi Uehara. Known for his ferocious dexterity on the acoustic bass, Clarke earned popularity in the 1970’s Grammy Award-winning band, Return to Forever, featuring legendary jazz pianist Chick Corea. His solo works – particularly, “School Days” – are recognized as anthems for aspiring bass players. By age 25, Clarke became the first bassist in history to achieve gold status. Later in life, he composed, orchestrated, conducted, and performed scores for numerous blockbuster films, such as Boyz ‘n the Hood, What’s Love Got To Do With It?, Little Big League, Passenger 57, Poetic Justice, and Romeo Must Die.

Ted Leo and the Pharmacists – 7:00 p.m. – The Mohawk Place
Ted Leo and the Pharmacists is an American rock band that formed in 1999 in Washington, D.C. They have released six full-length studio albums and have toured internationally. Though the group's lineup has fluctuated throughout their career, singer/guitarist Ted Leo has remained the band's main songwriter, creative force, and only constant member. The group's music combines elements of punk rock, indie rock, traditional rock, and occasionally folk music and dub reggae. Their most recent album, The Brutalist Bricks, was released on March 9, 2010.
