Here we are Halloween week – one of the biggest weeks of the year for web traffic on Buffalo.com! I’m hoping many of you will volunteer for one of the many events.
The events list is a little bit different this time around. I’ve listed Haunted Houses, Halloween Parties, then everything else going on in WNY, some holiday-related some not.
We were requested to cover the Darwin Martin House Fundraiser on October 29. See the list for more information.
Remember those “Smile for the Camera” shots and remember to incorporate your photo titles with your event descriptions!
Keep in mind – when you request an event don’t reply to this email – just send me another email with all the details, and I’ll do all the legwork.

HOUSE OF HORRORS & HAUNTED CATACOMBS

FRIGHTWORLD

NIGHTMARE HAYRIDES ON SOMMERVILLE STREET
Location: Ellicottville, NY
Days of operation: Fridays - Sundays in October
What: A 25-minute tractor drawn hayride followed by a haunted maze & a haunted barn with the vortex tunnel.
LOCKPORT HAUNTED CAVE TOUR
Location: Pine Street in downtown Lockport (at the old City Hall)
Days of operation: October 14 - 30 (Thursdays - Sundays)
What: A walk along the Erie Canal followed by a spooky walk through the haunted Lockport Cave.
BECKER FARMS HAUNTED HAYRIDE
Location: 3760 Quaker Road in Gasport
Days of operation: October 9 - 30 (Fridays - Sundays only)
What: Haunted Hayride, Castle Labyrinth, and Phylotec Biogenetic Testing Station.
HAUNTED HIGH SCHOOL 2009
Location: The Niagara Arts & Cultural Center at 1201 Pine Avenue in Niagara Falls, NY
Days of operation: October 30 & 31 from 5pm - 10pm
What: Four floors of fright.

Every Thursday in October, Haunted History Ghost Walks, Inc. presents the Haunted Pub Crawl of Allentown. The crawl will meet at 6:00 p.m. at Cozumel Grille, located at 153 Elmwood Avenue.
Salud!: It promises to be a night of fine wine, cuisine and spectacular prizes, all for a good cause. The Martin House Restoration Corporation will sponsor Salud! on Thursday, October 29th. The evening will feature a Spanish wine tasting dinner and silent auction. It'll be held at the Eleanor and Wilson Greatbatch Pavilion at Frank Lloyd Wright's Darwin Martin House Complex.
